Job summary

Atlas Technologies is seeking an Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to design, implement, and optimize the PeopleSoft database supporting our enterprise HR systems. This is a contract role with the option for fully remote work for eligible states.

You will install, patch, and upgrade Oracle DBs across AWS RDS, perform tuning, backups (RMAN/PITR), enforce security, and support migrations and disaster recovery while scripting routine tasks and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• DoD Secret Level Security Clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Security+ CE Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments.
• Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and health checks for PeopleSoft databases.
• Ensure database availability, integrity, and security with automated monitoring and audits.
• Develop and implement backup strategies (RMAN, PITR, cross-region).
• Support migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning for PeopleSoft environments.
• Automate routine tasks with shell scripting, Python, and AWS Step Functions.
• Create and maintain runbooks and documentation for operations.
