Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to join our IT team and support Direct Access infrastructure. The role is fully remote for qualified U.S.

residents and requires a DoD Secret clearance, 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience, and strong SQL/PL-SQL skills. You will install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases on AWS RDS, perform tuning, backups, and security enforcement, and contribute to disaster recovery planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Security+ CE certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of Oracle DBA experience.
• Strong SQL/PL-SQL and scripting skills.
• Experience with AWS RDS, CloudWatch, and PeopleSoft monitoring integrations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS environments.
• Perform proactive performance monitoring, SQL tuning, and resource optimization for PeopleSoft databases.
• Ensure database availability, integrity, and security with automated monitoring and health checks.
• Develop and implement robust backup strategies using RMAN and cross-region backups.
• Enforce security policies including user access, encryption, auditing, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot slow queries, locks, and cross-tier performance bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain runbooks, architecture docs, and configurations.
• Automate tasks using shell scripting, Python, SQL automation, and AWS Step Functions.
• Support migrations/upgrades across environments including PeopleSoft components.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and HA/DR testing for mission-critical systems.
