Job summary

Atlas Technologies is seeking a skilled Oracle/PeopleSoft Database Administrator to join our IT team and support Direct Access infrastructure. You will design, implement, and optimize the PeopleSoft database across cloud and on-prem environments to ensure availability, security, and scalable performance.

The position offers a fully remote option for eligible states and requires DoD clearance, 5+ years Oracle DBA experience, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• DoD Secret Level Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Security+ CE Certification or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of Oracle DBA experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software across AWS RDS.
• Monitor performance and tune SQL, including PeopleSoft diagnostics.
• Ensure database availability with automated monitoring and health checks.
• Develop backup strategies using RMAN and PITR with cross-region backups.
• Enforce security policies, including access control and auditing.
• Troubleshoot slow queries, locks, and cross-tier bottlenecks.
• Create documentation for processes, configs, and runbooks.
• Automate tasks with Bash, Python, SQL automation, and AWS Lambda.
• Support migrations and upgrades across on-prem and cloud environments.
