Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking an Operations Analyst / Industrial Engineer to own schedules and processes across our multimodal network linking motorcoaches with airline partners. You will design and refine operations, build dashboards, and act as an internal consultant to stations, dispatch, and leadership, turning data into actionable improvements.

Remote role with occasional travel to the USA/Canada; strong emphasis on data, collaboration, and scalable SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in transportation operations, logistics, aviation, fleet ops, or ops consulting
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, OR, Supply Chain or related field
• Strong data and analytical skills; Excel required; SQL, Python, or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI a plus
• Comfort using AI tools to move quickly across projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with frontline staff
• High-energy, self-directed approach; solving operational problems in a fast-moving startup
• Familiarity with Fleetio, Samsara, or similar fleet-management/telematics platforms is a plus
• Comfort working remotely across multiple locations and time zones; Six Sigma is a nice-to-have

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain schedules across motorcoach and multimodal network, balancing connections, crew utilization, and cost
• Lead operations planning as we scale into new markets and add stations
• Analyze operational performance data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Design and document processes and standard operating procedures that scale across locations
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track productivity, on-time performance, and asset utilization
• Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and continuous-improvement initiatives
• Act as an internal consultant to station teams, dispatch, and leadership, surfacing pain points and translating analysis into practical improvements
• Support ongoing capacity planning and resource allocation
