Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Director of Operations to run day-to-day activities for a fully remote team serving US clients. You will report to the founder, oversee four department leads, and be responsible for the weekly cadence, quarterly priorities, and profit metrics.

You will negotiate contracts, vendor terms, and redlines, while coaching leaders to become effective operators. Strong communication and proven multi-functional leadership are essential to succeed in this integrator role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple functions with P&L responsibility.
• Proven negotiation experience on contracts and with people.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee four department leads and their development, reviews, and performance.
• Own weekly planning, quarterly priorities, and prioritization when conflicts arise.
• Manage profit metrics, margins on delivery, and hiring costs.
• Lead commercial conversations: client contracts and vendor terms, including redlines.
• Develop leaders and ensure decisions are made promptly without founder bottlenecks.
