Job summary

Blacksmith Agency, a remote agency delivering websites and paid/organic programs for US clients, seeks a Head of Operations to run the day-to-day. Four departments report to you, and you own the week, the priorities, and the profit number, while handling client contracts and vendor terms.

You will build leadership capacity, coach executives, and ensure timely decisions in collaboration with the founder.

Qualifications

• More than one function reporting to you.
• Experience growing teams significantly and managing headcount.
• Profit ownership and margin focus in decision making.
• Strong negotiation experience on contracts and with people.
• Clear communicator with multiple senior leaders and founder.

Responsibilities

• Lead four department leads, their development and reviews.
• Own weekly rhythm, quarterly priorities and tradeoffs.
• Manage profit, margins on delivery, and hiring costs.
• Lead commercial conversations, client contracts and terms.
• Build leaders and coach them to operate as a cohesive leadership team.
• Make timely decisions alongside the founder.
