Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Vice President of Operations to run the company day-to-day in a fully remote capacity serving US clients. You will oversee sales, recruiting, delivery, and marketing, reporting to the founder, and you will shape priorities, performance, and profitability.

You will manage a growing team, drive strong operations, and ensure effective contractual negotiations while building leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple functions or departments.
• Track record scaling a company from ~40 to >100 employees.
• Proven ability to manage margins and profit delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead four department leads and oversee delivery, people, and performance.
• Own the weekly cadence, quarterly priorities, and tradeoffs across the company.
• Drive profitability by optimizing margins and controlling costs of delivery.
• Negotiate client contracts, vendor terms, and redlines with stakeholders.
• Coach and develop operators into effective leaders and decision-makers.
• Make rapid, clear decisions in partnership with the founder and leadership team.
