Oscar Health is hiring an Operational Forecasting Associate to join the Workforce Management team. The role focuses on building forecasts for production teams and supporting budgeting through data-driven insights.

You will report to the Associate Director, Workforce Management. The position is remote, with potential future hybrid arrangements, and candidates may reside in Atlanta, GA or elsewhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated work in operations forecasting (inferred from requirements).
• 2+ years of demonstrated work with large datasets and distill analyses into insights with structured thought.
• 2+ years experience in SQL, with ability to filter, aggregate, and build CTEs, or proficiency in R or Python with Pandas.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, around business reporting impact and requirements.
• 1+ years experience with Google Sheets or Excel, including VLookup and nested if statements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed operational forecasts for volumetric demand and resourcing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align forecast models with business objectives.
• Source data and refine analyses with data teams.
• Learn business & support planning discussions with stakeholders.
• Utilize tools like Workday, Jira, BigQuery, Looker to support analyses.
• Tell stories with data that non-technical colleagues can understand.
• Own insights for a major business unit and liaise with Sr. Managers and Directors.
• Support strategic projects and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
