Job summary

Oscar Health seeks an Operational Forecasting Associate to join the Workforce Management team in Tempe, AZ. This hybrid role requires three days in-office per week with Thursdays mandatory for meetings and events.

You will build and maintain forecasts for staffing and budget planning, collaborate with senior leaders, and use platforms like Workday, Jira, BigQuery, and Looker to deliver insights that drive decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated work in operations forecasting.
• 2+ years of demonstrated work with large datasets and distill analyses into insights with structured thought.
• 2+ years experience in SQL, with the ability to filter, aggregate, and build CTEs, or proficiency in R or Python, including Pandas.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, around business reporting impact and requirements.
• 1+ years experience with Google Sheets or Excel, with advanced functions (VLOOKUP, nested IFs, connected Sheets).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed operational forecasts for volumetric demand and resourcing.
• Ensure forecast models align with business objectives and changes.
• Source data and refine analyses with data teams.
• Learn the business and support planning discussions with stakeholders.
• Use tools and data platforms (Workday, Jira, BigQuery, Looker).
• Tell data stories that non-technical teammates understand, presenting findings clearly.
