Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to grow our customer base in the Oklahoma City area. You will engage with oncology customers, educate stakeholders about our products, and drive activity to meet or exceed regional sales goals.

The role requires 2+ years in oncology field sales, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 50% including overnight trips. Remote work is available with a base salary range and annual bonus consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience or a high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers.
• Equivalency in healthcare/scientific field with oncology experience preferred (including pharma, biotech, or medical devices) that is not sales related, marketing, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
• Travel the amount of time the role requires, including overnight travel as needed.
• Reside in or within a reasonable distance to the district.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless experience with the Oncology organization.
• Engage customers with approved resources and messaging to communicate patient-centered rationale for products.
• Understand oncology pathways, staging, treatment options, and guidelines.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment across multiple drug distribution channels.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term plans in collaboration with local team and district manager.
