Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to drive growth across the Oklahoma City, OK and North Texas territory. You will engage with customers, educate key stakeholders about our oncology products, and work with the Oncology team to achieve or exceed sales goals while delivering patient-centered solutions.

The role involves field-based activities, overnight travel as needed, and residing within the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years sales experience or high school diploma plus 10+ years equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling to oncology customers.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Willingness to travel including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience with Oncology organization.
• Educate stakeholders about oncology products and communicate with the oncology community.
• Understand tumor types, treatment options, and guidelines to discuss patient care considerations.
• Analyze market and buying patterns to develop and execute short- and long-term plans.
