Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director, Oncology Key Accounts to serve as the main point of contact for major oncology groups and IDNs, focusing on improving patient outcomes and expanding portfolio utilization. The role is field-based with a Texas account focus and requires travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience or 10 years of equivalent experience without a degree
Experience in healthcare/science fields with oncology focus preferred, not necessarily sales
Minimum of 2 years of healthcare, life sciences, sales, account management, or managed care experience
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to build relationships with senior healthcare executives and KOLs
Strong financial acumen and ability to communicate value proposition

Responsibilities

Act as main point of contact for large Oncology group practices and IDNs
Lead accounts in Oncology/Hematology with focus on patient outcomes
Utilize data analytics to understand account performance and identify engagement opportunities
Coordinate with local account teams for contract pull-through and terms
Align brand strategy with customer needs and business objectives
Travel approximately 50% to cover assigned geography
