Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to cover the Phoenix South, Arizona territory. You will engage with customers, educate stakeholders about oncology products, and drive toward sales targets while traveling to meet customers and attend national meetings.

The role requires 6+ years of sales experience or 8 years with a high school diploma, driving willingness, and strong knowledge of oncology products and patient care pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of sales experience.
• High school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Healthcare/scientific background with oncology experience preferred (pharma, biotech, or medical devices).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
• Travel up to 10–15% with overnight travel.
• Residence in or near the district to support field coverage in Phoenix area.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience with the Oncology organization.
• Communicate a patient-centered rationale for Oncology products to key stakeholders.
• Understand cancer pathways, staging, and treatment options and their impact on patients.
• Analyze buying patterns across multiple channels and accounts to guide planning.
• Develop short- and long-term plans with local team and Oncology leadership.
