Job summary

Enthuse Marketing seeks a Channel Developer Off-Premise to drive performance across a territory of off-premise accounts for a large spirit portfolio. You will use brand programming, education and agency resources to build long-term relationships with customers and gatekeepers.

The role requires knowledge of liquor laws, strong communication and negotiation in a dynamic market. Based in the Chicago area, you may travel evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the bev-alc industry.
• Distributor or broker experience is a plus.
• Growing network of industry professionals in market.
• Knowledge of liquor laws, regulations, and rules.
• Interest in growing knowledge in spirits history/production and cocktail culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Persuasive selling and negotiation skills are required to develop and maintain strong relationships.
• Ability to tailor communications for a variety of on-premise environments.
• Deep understanding of market and industry trends.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel on an ad hoc basis including nights and weekends required.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to and from accounts.
• Desire for mentorship and willingness to contribute to team culture.
• Bonus: bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance across off-premise accounts for a large portfolio of spirit brands.
• Leverage brand programming, education and agency resources to provide value for customers.
• Build long-term relationships with portfolio accounts and gatekeepers.
• Plan, track, and implement brand engagement using performance data.
• Gain insights into consumer trends to inform sessions.
• Identify merchandising opportunities by understanding portfolio priorities.
• Coordinate with agency to manage budgets, reporting and performance data.
• Serve as liaison between portfolio, distributor, manager and customers.
• Develop knowledge in spirits and improve presentation skills.
