Job summary

ABB Inc. is hiring an OEM Business Development Manager for Industrial Machinery. This remote role in the United States focuses on driving new business with OEMs in the industrial machinery market across ABB's Motion Drive Products, including drives and automation solutions.

The candidate will develop 1-3 year growth strategies, map decision-makers, and expand ABB's market share while collaborating with engineering, product management, and marketing. 50-75% travel is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Proven business development and sales experience in drives, motors, automation, or related industrial solutions.
Experience with ABB or comparable portfolios including VFDs, automation solutions, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
Knowledge of OEM business models and machinery applications such as material handling, conveying, and food and beverage processing machinery.
Strong Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office skills; excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Citizenship/work authorization for the US and ability to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB's Motion Drive Products with OEMs in industrial machinery.
Develop 1-3 year growth strategies for targeted OEM accounts and expand ABB's share of wallet.
Own account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM in Salesforce, collaborating with cross-functional teams to win new business.
Monitor industry trends and translate market needs into actionable growth plans.
