Job summary
ABB Inc. is seeking an OEM Business Development Manager for Industrial Machinery, remote in the United States. You will drive new business with OEMs in drives, PLCs, HMIs, and automation solutions, and develop 1-3 year growth plans across key accounts.
You will own forecasting, pipeline development, and collaboration with OEM Application Engineers, Product Management, and Marketing to win new business. 50-75% travel is expected nationwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field OR 10+ years experience with an associate degree.
- 8+ years of OEM business development or sales in drives, motors, automation, or related industrial solutions.
- Experience with ABB or comparable portfolios including VFDs, automation solutions, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio with OEMs in industrial machinery segments.
- Develop and execute 1-3 year growth strategies for targeted OEM accounts and map decision-makers.
- Own account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM execution in Salesforce.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to build differentiated value propositions and support contract negotiations.
