Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an O&M Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You will analyze project specs, RFPs, and collaborate with business development, project managers, and engineers to ensure estimates are completed accurately and on time.

This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, or architecture.
• Experience reading specifications and drawings; strong communication and team collaboration required.
• 3+ years estimating experience with utility-scale solar or similar.
• Proficient with MS Office and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, project plans, and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements and quantify costs.
• Maintain bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to obtain costs for minor scopes.
• Update cost databases and estimating templates; drive continuous improvement.
