Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced O&M Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and BESS projects. This fully remote position involves analyzing project specs, RFPs, and collaborating with BD, PMs, and engineers to ensure timely, competitive estimates.

The role requires 3+ years of estimating experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read specifications and drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture or equivalent.
• 3+ years of estimating experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, project plans, and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements and quantify costs.
• Maintain bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for cost data.
