Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an O&M Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Remote role with collaboration across BD, PMs and engineers. Strong background in estimating and knowledge of solar/BESS equipment is expected.

The role emphasizes detailed takeoffs, supplier coordination, risk assessment, and updating estimating templates to stay current with industry practices. Salary aligns with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with utility-scale solar or BESS estimating is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience.
• Strong ability to read specifications and drawings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, project plans and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements and pricing.
• Meet and maintain bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain costs for minor scopes.
