Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, seeks an O&M Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

This fully remote role involves analyzing RFPs, coordinating with business development, project managers, and engineers, and maintaining cost databases and estimating tools while meeting bid deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of utility-scale solar and BESS equipment.
• Experience in estimating for electrical/solar/BESS projects is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
• Strong math, analytical, and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs and project plans to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements and quantify costs.
• Meet bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for minor scopes and vendor pricing.
• Maintain cost databases and estimating tools; update templates.
• Identify risks and assist in risk assessments with management.
