Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced O&M Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You will review RFPs, analyze specifications, and collaborate with business development, project managers, and engineers to deliver on-time estimates.

The role is fully remote; location details will be discussed during interview.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural field.
Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience.
Working knowledge of utility-scale solar and BESS equipment and operation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
Ability to make accurate judgments and calculations.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret RFP documents, project plans, specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
Identify and quantify equipment and OEM requirements.
Meet and maintain bidding schedules.
Participate in estimate reviews.
Work with subcontractors to define costs for minor scopes of work.
Maintain vendor relationships to track equipment models and pricing changes.
Identify risks and assist in risk assessment with management.
Update cost databases and estimating templates; maintain version control.
