Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an O&M Estimator to prepare accurate long-term service cost estimates for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will analyze RFPs, collaborate with BD, PMs, and engineers, and ensure timely, precise estimates. The role is fully remote with interview-based location details.

Minimum qualifications include a engineering-related bachelor’s degree and 3 years estimating experience, plus strong Excel and MS Office skills. The company supports diverse, inclusive workplaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, or architecture.
• 3+ years estimating experience for utility-scale solar or similar.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and perform calculations.
• Proficient use of MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, project plans, and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and establish materials pricing.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements and pricing.
• Help maintain bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors for costs on minor scopes.
• Assist in risk assessment and go/no-go decisions with management.
• Update cost databases and estimating templates; improve tools.
