Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced O&M Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. This fully remote role involves analyzing RFPs, coordinating with BD, PMs, and engineers, and delivering timely estimates.

You will develop quantity takeoffs, price materials, identify equipment needs, manage cost databases, and support risk reviews and bid decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience for utility-scale solar or BESS projects.
• Strong reading of specs and drawings; excellent communication and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review RFP documents, project plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and materials pricing with accurate equipment and OEM requirements.
• Meet bid schedules and participate in estimate reviews with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to define costs for minor scopes of work and manage supplier relationships.
• Maintain cost databases, estimating templates, and version control; support risk reviews and go/no-go decisions.
