Actalent is seeking a Nuclear Safety Analyst to support advanced reactor and fuel development projects. You will perform nuclear analyses, model thermal-hydraulic behavior, and use tools such as RELAP5-3D and TRACE to simulate reactor responses in a fully remote role.

The position emphasizes rigorous calculations, high-quality technical reporting, and collaboration with senior engineers to address NRC/DOE requirements and customer-funded initiatives.

Formación

• 5+ years in nuclear field, nuclear analysis, or closely related engineering work.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with RELAP5 and TRACE for nuclear safety analysis.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Perform nuclear safety and engineering analyses for advanced reactors and nuclear systems.
• Model thermal-hydraulic behavior under varied operating and safety conditions.
• Use RELAP5-3D, TRACE, and other tools to simulate reactor response.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations communicating methodologies and results.
• Collaborate with engineers to refine models and interpret results.
