Velora is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to serve a mid-sized nonprofit client base, handling full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with a focus on accuracy and customer experience. You will work with AI-native tools to move faster and raise the bar on service quality, while maintaining strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong fundamentals in accounting and nonprofit bookkeeping; keeps books clean and compliant.
• Deep experience in Aplos (preferred) or similar systems.
• Strong Excel skills; uses templates, automation, and AI support.
• Builds trust with customers through proactive updates and clear communication.
• Outcome-focused, deadline-driven; collaborates to move customer forward.
• Collaborative teammate who shares learnings and templates.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Maintain around 70% of working time on billable client work.
• Understand organizational needs and provide feedback to improve information clarity.
• Maintain a high net promoter score through proactive communication and quality service.
• Adhere to processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and share knowledge with teammates.
