Job summary

Velora is a remote-first company formed by Aplos, Raisely and Keela, delivering nonprofit management software. We seek an experienced bookkeeper to manage full-cycle nonprofit bookkeeping for multiple clients, using AI tools to increase speed and accuracy, while maintaining strong controls and client satisfaction.

You will work with a distributed team across North America, handling data entry, reconciliations, payroll, and donations, with an emphasis on accuracy and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Strong fundamentals in accounting and nonprofit bookkeeping; keeps books clean and compliant.
• Proficiency with Excel; uses templates, automation, and AI support to improve accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers, including data entry, reconciliations, payroll, and donations.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows for bookkeeping clients.
• Maintain ~70% time on billable client work and ensure robust financial controls.
