Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Computer Network Support Specialist to install, monitor, and troubleshoot local and wide area network services for our organization. This remote role is open to candidates across the United States, with compensation determined by geographic tier and internal equity.

Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, diagnosing connectivity and security issues, configuring equipment, and providing user assistance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT/Networking preferred.
• 4 years of networking experience preferred.
• Experience in security-conscious environments is a plus.
• Experience documenting and resolving network incidents is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network availability, performance, and security alerts per procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, and firewall issues.
• Configure and install network equipment and perform backups and access controls.
• Provide user support via phone, email, or in person.
• Document incidents, configurations, and resolutions; maintain diagrams and inventories.
• Prepare status reports and contribute to knowledge articles.
