Job summary

McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is seeking an Enterprise Applications Engineer (DMS) to lead the NetDocuments platform, implement NDMax AI capabilities, and advance the firm’s document management strategy. You will partner with governance, IT, and business stakeholders to improve efficiency and information governance across the organization.

You will collaborate with attorneys and staff to deliver modern, compliant DMS solutions, drive adoption, and provide training and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
Four+ years of experience administering an enterprise document or content management platform, preferably NetDocuments.
Direct NetDocuments experience strongly preferred.
Hands-on NetDocuments administration with NDMax technologies and AI-enabled workflows.
Understanding of ethical walls, access management tools, and information governance best practices.
Exposure to Finance or HR enterprise apps (e.g., Aderant, Paylocity) or similar systems.
Experience with scripting and automation of routine admin tasks.
Strong communication, training, and consulting skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to all audiences.
Prior law firm or professional services experience and familiarity with legal workflows and compliance.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary administrator for NetDocuments, ensuring platform stability and continuous improvements.
Configure, deploy, and promote NDMax capabilities (CollabSpaces, auto-profiling, metadata extraction, ND Context Graph, NLP search).
Partner with data governance to maintain standards, ethical walls, and compliance.
Test, package, and deploy NetDocuments updates and enhancements for secure upgrades.
Execute large-scale data imports/exports with accuracy and confidentiality.
Manage document security requests, workspace permissions, and special access requirements.
Collaborate with NetDocuments and vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
Provide backup administration and support for Finance/HR enterprise apps as needed.
Lead DMS projects, onboarding, training, and create technical docs to promote self-service.
