Job summary

NetDocuments is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the next generation of our document management platform. You’ll lead technically, delivering production‑grade full‑stack applications across React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.

You’ll drive architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform Services to build scalable, secure solutions for global legal workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership and influencing engineering direction.
• Deep experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Strong backend development experience with C#/.NET or Java and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing and operating event‑driven, service‑oriented, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with AWS services and distributed systems.
• Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs, including API security and versioning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Own complex technical initiatives from design through production deployment.
• Define technical direction and engineering standards across the team.
• Architect and build production‑grade full stack applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, C#/.NET, and AWS.
• Design scalable architectures and data pipelines with AWS, Kafka, and modern tools.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform Services.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance as the platform scales.
