Job summary

Daikin Applied Ltd. seeks a National Business Development Manager to lead the national Data Center aftermarket service strategy.

You will focus on growing maintenance agreements, attachment rates, and recurring revenue while partnering with District Service teams to secure opportunities and maintain local ownership of customer relationships. You will serve as the subject matter expert on mission-critical Data Center operations and guide pricing, scopes of work, and sales processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years relevant experience, including 5+ years of management, leadership, business development, or strategic sales experience.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national Data Center aftermarket service growth strategy, focusing on maintenance agreements, attachment rates, recurring revenue, and customer retention.
• Partner with District Service organizations to identify, price, propose, negotiate, and secure Data Center maintenance agreements and other aftermarket opportunities.
• Serve as the national Data Center service SME, guiding operations, customer requirements, mission-critical environments, and market trends.
• Meet with SVP of Sales and VP of National Accounts to assess market activity and customer requirements.
• Develop standardized maintenance agreement programs and scopes of work for cross-district use while allowing local flexibility.
• Establish national pricing strategies balancing customer needs, competitiveness, service capabilities, risk, and profitability.
• Convert equipment customers into long-term service relationships across facilities and locations.
• Support District Service teams on opportunities including meetings, proposals, and contract development.
• Coordinate national and multi-district opportunities to provide a consistent service experience with local ownership.
• Create tools, processes, proposals, pricing methodologies, and best practices to improve efficiency in Data Center service sales.
• Analyze installed base, relationships, market trends, competition, and pipelines to identify opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs for maintenance bookings, revenue, attachment rates, pipeline, margins, renewals, and retention.
• Provide training and mentorship to District Service and Sales teams on Data Center markets.
• Build strategic relationships with Data Center customers and industry stakeholders.
