Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a National Business Development Manager to lead the Data Center aftermarket service growth nationwide. You will shape strategy, drive maintenance agreements, and partner with District teams to secure new service business across mission-critical facilities.

You will serve as a subject matter expert on Data Center operations, pricing, and service delivery, while expanding recurring revenue and improving customer retention through scalable programs and national pricing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years relevant experience, including 5+ years of management, leadership, business development, or strategic sales experience
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national strategy for Data Center aftermarket service growth, with primary focus on increasing maintenance agreement sales, attachment rates, recurring revenue, and customer retention
• Partner with District Service organizations to identify, develop, price, propose, negotiate, and secure new Data Center maintenance agreements and other aftermarket service opportunities
• Serve as the national Data Center service subject matter expert, providing guidance on Data Center operations, customer requirements, mission-critical environments, equipment applications, service expectations, and market trends
• Meet consistently with the SVP of Sales and VP of National Accounts to understand market activity and Data Center customer requirements
• Develop standardized Data Center maintenance agreement programs and scopes of work that can be consistently utilized across District Service organizations while allowing appropriate flexibility for customer and local market requirements
• Establish and maintain consistent national pricing strategies for Data Center maintenance agreements, balancing customer requirements, competitive positioning, service capabilities, risk, and profitability
• Develop strategies to convert Daikin Applied equipment customers into long-term service customers and expand existing service relationships across additional facilities, equipment, and Data Center locations
• Support District Service teams on strategic and complex Data Center opportunities, including customer meetings, account strategies, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and contract development
• Coordinate national and multi-District Data Center opportunities to provide customers with a consistent Daikin Applied service experience while maintaining local District ownership and execution
• Develop and implement standardized tools, processes, proposal templates, pricing methodologies, and best practices that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Data Center service sales across the organization
• Analyze the Data Center installed equipment base, customer relationships, market trends, competitive activity, pipeline, win rates, pricing, margins, and other business information to identify and prioritize aftermarket service opportunities
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators for Data Center aftermarket service, including maintenance agreement bookings, revenue, attachment rates, pipeline, win rates, margins, renewals, and customer retention
• Provide training, coaching, and subject matter expertise to District Service and Sales teams to improve their understanding of the Data Center market and their ability to secure and grow Data Center service business
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key Data Center customers and industry stakeholders, positioning Daikin Applied as a trusted national aftermarket service provider for mission-critical facilities
• Identify opportunities to improve company processes, policies, programs, pricing, and service offerings that will increase Data Center service growth, scalability, profitability, and customer satisfaction
• Lead through influence across the organization, establishing alignment among District and functional leaders and driving adoption of national Data Center service strategies, standards, and best practices
• Provide leadership and recommendations to senior management regarding Data Center aftermarket strategy, market opportunities, customer requirements, pricing, investment priorities, and business performance
