Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics that support underwriting evaluations, renewals, funding analyses, and strategic client decisions. You will partner with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, and Benefits teams to deliver data-driven insights that drive growth and client outcomes.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, a strong background in analytics, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment.
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision-making.
• Evaluate underwriting data and support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
• Deliver data-driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
• Provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
• Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly.
• Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
• Utilize analytics, reporting, and BI tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
• Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, and carriers.
• Maintain clear communication of analytical findings to stakeholders.
• Provide analytical guidance and knowledge sharing to support team development.
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, and market trends.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
