Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant for Employee Benefits. You will lead analytics activities, interpret underwriting and financial data, and deliver data-driven insights to support client decisions at a national scale.

The role partners with senior consultants, producers, and benefits teams to enhance renewal negotiations, funding analyses, and program performance. A strong background in analytics and underwriter principles is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support analytics activities for IOA Benefits Group on a national scale.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data.
• Evaluate underwriting data and support carrier pricing and funding analyses.
• Deliver data-driven insights to clients for risk, trends, and program performance.
• Provide analytical support for renewals, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations communicating complex information clearly.
• Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Utilize analytics tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
• Analyze trends and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, and account teams to meet client objectives.
• Maintain clear communication of analytical findings and recommendations.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to support team development.
• Stay current with underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, and market trends.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and analytical procedures.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
