Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics for underwriting, renewal negotiations, and client decision-making on a national scale. You will partner with Benefits teams to deliver insights that improve financial outcomes.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, communication with technical and non-technical audiences, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize program performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Data analytics: gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data
• Underwriting support: evaluate data and develop recommendations for carrier pricing and funding
• Client consulting: deliver data-driven insights on risks, trends, and program performance
• Sales support: assist renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development
• Reporting: create dashboards and presentations communicating complex information
• Analytics process: develop analytics methodologies and reporting standards
• Technology: use analytics tools to enhance client outcomes
• Performance analysis: analyze trends and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities
• Process improvement: implement improvements for efficiency and reporting accuracy
• Stakeholder collaboration: partner with teams and carriers to support objectives
• Communication: clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Training: provide guidance and knowledge sharing
