Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. You will set the vertical market strategy, drive growth, and lead a team to deliver profitable results across the dataset.

The role requires strategic leadership and executive-level relationship building with C-suite leaders in data center operators and hyperscalers. The position is remote with travel up to 50%, reporting to the VP of National Accounts, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years people leadership experience.
• History of leading high-performing sales teams through periods of rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Data Center experts: drive and assess pipeline growth; qualify potential new national accounts and make recommendations to pursue or abandon; evaluate sales plans to meet changing requirements of customers and market; plan for, hire, and train new headcount, and promote performance management and career development opportunities through regular coaching.
• Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including market characteristics, segmentation, trends, growth potential, and gaps; Daikin’s position vs competitors and needs of accounts.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy Data Center vertical market, provide updates to executives, align with field and regional leadership; plan long-term according to Daikin model.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate professionalism of Data Center team and scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and Rep leadership; improve customer experience.
