Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to join a 100% remote team supporting Veterans Affairs health systems. The role focuses on testing legacy MUMPS/Cache applications, developing test plans, and ensuring data integrity across HL7/FHIR interfaces.

Required 10+ years in software testing with healthcare/government experience, strong SDLC and UAT expertise, and the ability to mentor junior testers in a regulated environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, government, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience testing enterprise applications in clinical/benefits/healthcare operations.
• Experience supporting legacy/long-lived systems.
• Experience testing applications developed in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.
• Experience validating healthcare business workflows and system functionality.
• Experience creating detailed test plans and cases.
• Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience validating data integrity and database updates.
• Experience testing interfaces and system integrations.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI Transactions.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, scripts, and procedures for MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments.
• Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, defects, and upgrades.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• Test HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions and data integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and end users to validate requirements and test objectives.
• Mentor junior testers and lead testing efforts.
• Produce testing metrics, dashboards, and status reports.
