Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Mortgage Area Sales Manager to lead a team of MLOs in driving residential mortgage production. You will develop referral networks, manage day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Fulfillment Operations to maximize closed volume.

The role requires leadership, strategic planning, and strong knowledge of mortgage guidelines, with compensation largely incentive-based and a base salary or draw as part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years residential mortgage sales experience required.
• In-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
• Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster referral source relationships (realtors, builders, professionals).
• Develop a sales culture and sales-focused environment within the team.
• Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire, and train new loan officers.
