Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking an Area Sales Manager 1 in Fairlawn, OH to lead a team of Mortgage Loan Originators, drive volume, and maintain compliance. You will oversee personal mortgage production, coach a group of MLOs, and partner with Fulfillment Operations to ensure timely closings.

The role emphasizes risk management, customer experience, and adherence to policies, with incentive-based compensation and comprehensive benefits. Strong leadership and mortgage expertise are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
2–4 years of residential mortgage sales experience are required.
Knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
Experience with mortgage processing, underwriting and closing procedures.

Responsibilities

Develop and foster referral source relationships (realtors, builders, professionals, and personal contacts).
Develop a sales culture and sales-focused environment within the team.
Develop and foster relationships with Financial Center personnel to build business and referrals.
Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures.
