Job summary

Cart.com is seeking a detail‑oriented MoR Accountant to own end‑to‑end MoR accounting operations for multiple brands in the US. You will ensure payment processing integrity, settlements accuracy, and tax compliance while maintaining robust financial controls.

The role requires 3–7 years in payments or finance within e‑commerce or SaaS, with strong Excel and SQL capabilities. Remote work nationwide is supported; prior MoR/vendor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in payments operations, merchant services, accounting, or finance in e‑commerce, SaaS, or tech services.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, merchant accounts, and financial controls.
• Hands‑on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close support.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL and reporting/analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Own MoR accounting operations for Cart.com across supported brands.
• Review, validate, and approve high‑value transactions and settlements.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, settlements issues, holds, chargebacks, and refunds.
• Maintain transaction‑level review processes to minimize errors and revenue leakage.
• Support tax configurations, remittance, and reporting; ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
