Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a high-impact Manager, Manufacturing Engineering – Module Frames to lead a global team focused on expanding capacity and standardizing processes for steel frame components.

You will drive concurrent engineering, supplier readiness, and manufacturing technology adoption, collaborating with R&D, Quality, Program Management, and Procurement to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost targets for next-generation solar tracking hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering / industrialization for steel components.
• Experience installing and commissioning new equipment.
• 10+ years serving large OEM customers in renewable energy, automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial manufacturing.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience delivering concurrent engineering outcomes: DFM/DFMA in design releases and factory validation.
• Experience with steel fabrication processes (roll forming, stamping, welding, etc.).
• Experience with engineering change management in a PLM system.
• Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Pareto).
• Ability to lead global cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Module Frames Manufacturing Engineering team in the launch and ramp up of new equipment at NX suppliers.
• Lead manufacturing engineering input in product development from concept to design release.
• Establish gates for manufacturability, process capability, cost drivers, and risk closure.
• Lead innovation in manufacturing technologies and complex roll forming geometries.
• Plan prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations with rigorous measurement.
