Job summary

Nextpower, a renewable energy technology leader, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer – Module Frames to drive concurrent engineering, supplier readiness, and industrialization of steel frame components across a global supply base. You will influence design for manufacturability and lead critical change implementations.

This role partners with R&D, Quality, Program Management and Procurement to ensure designs are cost-effectivе, scalable and reliable, while delivering through rigorous analysis,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering / industrialization for complex roll-formed steel components.
  • 10+ years in design for manufacturing and steel processes; CAPEX project leadership.
  • 5+ years serving large OEM customers in renewable energy or industrial manufacturing (solar experience a plus).
  • Experience with concurrent engineering (DFM/DFMA) and factory validation.
  • Experience with roll forming complex steel shapes and related processes (stamping, welding, laser cutting, machining).
  • Experience leading supplier-facing engineering activities and change management in a PLM system.
  • CAD collaboration for manufacturability reviews (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Pareto).
  • Willingness to travel 75% (international and domestic).

Responsibilities

  • Support launch and ramp-up of new equipment at supplier locations domestically and internationally.
  • Provide manufacturing feasibility input and DFM/DFMA recommendations with suppliers.
  • Review drawings to identify manufacturability risks and propose solutions.
  • Lead manufacturing tech readiness for steel roll forming and related processes.
  • Plan prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations with measurement methods.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives across module frames while maintaining performance.
  • Define manufacturing readiness deliverables such as process flows and inspection approaches.
  • Conduct supplier factory readiness audits and drive corrective actions.
  • Provide rapid escalation support and root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why).
  • Document best practices and deploy across regions and suppliers.
