Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Engineering – Module Frames, to lead a team responsible for large-scale capacity expansion and process standardization across a global supplier base. You will drive DFM/DFMA, industrialization, and engineering changes to ensure manufacturability, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of steel frame components.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, PM, and Procurement to deliver data-driven decisions and champion Lean practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 15+ years in manufacturing engineering for steel components.
  • 15+ years minimum experience in complex roll-form steel products.
  • Proven track record with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • 10+ years serving large OEM customers in renewable energy or related sectors.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience delivering concurrent engineering inputs to design releases and factory validation.
  • Experience with steel fabrication processes and related manufacturing tech.
  • Experience leading supplier-facing activities: process readiness and tooling readiness.
  • Experience with engineering change management in a PLM system.
  • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Pareto).
  • 50% travel requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Module Frames Manufacturing Engineering team in ramping up new equipment with suppliers.
  • Participate in product development from concept to design release with DFM input.
  • Establish gates for manufacturability, capability, cost drivers, and supplier readiness.
  • Drive manufacturing technology innovations for complex roll forming geometries.
  • Plan prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations with measurement discipline.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives; validate savings while maintaining performance and reliability.
  • Foster cross-functional alignment with R&D, Quality, PM, and Procurement.
  • Set technical standards and review cadence across regions and suppliers.
  • Manage changes in PLM with risk assessment, readiness validation, and documentation.
  • Provide rapid escalation leadership with root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why).
