Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Module Frames to drive concurrent engineering, supplier readiness, industrialization, and engineering changes for steel components across our global supply base.

You will collaborate with R&D/Design, Quality, Program Management, and Procurement to ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, cost‑effective, and reliable, with rigorous analysis and factory validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering / industrialization for complex roll formed steel components.
  • 10+ years in design for manufacturing and steel processes.
  • Experience with renewable energy customers preferred.
  • DFM/DFMA influence on design releases and factory validation.

Responsibilities

  • Support launch and ramp of new equipment at supplier sites.
  • Provide manufacturing feasibility input during product development.
  • Review drawings and identify manufacturability risks.
  • Lead manufacturing technologies for steel roll forming and related processes.
  • Plan prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives across module frame products.
  • Define and validate manufacturing readiness deliverables.
  • Conduct supplier factory readiness audits.
  • Serve as Manufacturing Engineering reviewer for ECR/DCO/ECO.
  • Provide escalation support and implement 8D, 5-Why, Pareto.
