Job summary

Nextpower Inc. is seeking a seasoned Manager, Manufacturing Engineering – Module Frames, to lead a global team in scaling capacity and standardizing processes for steel module frames.

You will drive DFM/DFMA, supplier readiness, and industrialization across Nextpower’s supplier footprint, partnering with R&D, Quality, and Procurement to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness. Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering / industrialization for steel components and assemblies.
• 15+ years minimum experience in complex shape roll form steel products.
• Experience installing and commissioning new equipment for production.
• 10+ years serving large OEM customers in renewable energy, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering concurrent engineering outcomes: DFM/DFMA influence on design releases and factory validation.
• Experience with steel fabrication processes (roll forming, stamping, welding, etc.).
• Experience leading supplier-facing engineering activities: process readiness, tooling readiness, validation builds, on-site troubleshooting.
• Experience with engineering change management in a PLM system.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Pareto).
• Ability to influence others, negotiate solutions, and manage global teams.
• Travel requirements of 50% (international and domestic).

Responsibilities

• Lead Module Frames Manufacturing Engineering team in the ramp up of new equipment at NX suppliers.
• Participate in product development from concept to design release with manufacturability input.
• Establish gates for manufacturability, process capability, and cost drivers.
• Lead innovations in manufacturing technologies and readiness of roll forming geometries.
• Plan prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations with measurements.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Foster disciplined engineering execution and cross-functional alignment.
• Oversee engineering changes in PLM and ensure proper readiness validation.
• Provide rapid escalation leadership for supplier/manufacturing issues with root-cause analyses.
