Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is actively hiring a Model Risk Advisor for a remote role across the United States (exceptions apply). The role focuses on promoting AI governance, maintaining model inventories, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with risk, audit, and enterprise teams to strengthen governance across AI activities. The position requires deep knowledge of model risk management, governance frameworks, and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Model risk management, risk, and audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI Model governance standards.
• Able to communicate technical information clearly.
• Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience deploying AI Model governance, Model Risk programs across a large enterprise.
• AI Model Governance policy, standard, controls establishment, enforcement, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk by complexity, regulatory requirements, and usage; identify emerging risks.
• Develop and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, processes, and controls.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing by defining scope and communicating findings.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities and risk assessments.
• Develop reports and executive insights on governance, risk, and controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain governance docs.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline governance processes.
