Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to promote AI governance and strengthen governance practices across the enterprise. The role focuses on maintaining the AI policy framework, model metadata inventories, and risk-based governance controls.

You will partner with risk, audit, and external stakeholders to close gaps and ensure regulatory alignment. The position requires 4+ years in model risk or AI governance, strong communication skills, and experience deploying governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field.
• 4+ years of AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit experience.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Ability to communicate technical and business information clearly across formats.
• Experience deploying AI Model governance programs across large enterprises.
• AI governance policy creation, enforcement and monitoring.
• Understanding of AI governance ethics, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Ability to lead and influence change within complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Promote governance practices and maintain AI policy framework.
• Engage with enterprise AI community to promote governance policies and practices.
• Establish inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk by complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Implement MR governance frameworks, processes, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance; flag issues.
• Support model validation and testing; document findings and recommendations.
• Participate in AI governance oversight activities including audits and reviews.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance and model risk.
