Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to promote AI governance and maintain model risk practices across our enterprise. The role focuses on governance, risk assessment, validation support, and cross‑functional collaboration with risk, auditors, and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in AI governance, MR programs, and a solid understanding of regulatory expectations, including responsible AI practices and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and auditing principles.
• Ability to communicate technical and business information clearly.
• Experience deploying AI Model governance across a large enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance awareness and adoption across the enterprise.
• Maintain inventory of AI/ML models with ownership and risk ratings.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, and usage.
• Implement and maintain MR frameworks, controls, policies, and standards.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing activities.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance and risk.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk, auditors, and external suppliers.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
