Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to advance AI governance and risk management across the enterprise. The role focuses on establishing a complete model inventory, evaluating risk, and implementing governance frameworks in collaboration with risk, audit, and internal teams.

The position emphasizes regulatory awareness, responsible AI practices, and ongoing improvements, with remote-ready flexibility and a compensation package including annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit; information management can substitute for degree.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring or auditing principles.
• Ability to communicate technical and business information clearly about AI Model governance.
• Experience deploying AI model governance across a large enterprise.
• AI governance policy, standards, controls establishment, enforcement and monitoring.
• Proven experience in AI ethics, governance, compliance or related roles.
• Knowledge of AI governance principles, including ethics, regulatory compliance, and risk frameworks.
• Understanding of risk and compliance in AI Model Governance and data management.
• Ability to lead and influence change in complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Promote effective AI governance across the enterprise.
• Engage with the AI community to promote governance policies and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory needs, business impact, and usage.
• Implement MR frameworks, controls, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and regulatory compliance.
• Support model validation and testing, documenting findings and recommendations.
• Participate in audits, governance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance and model risk.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk, auditors, and external partners on documentation.
• Monitor regulatory expectations and adapt governance accordingly.
• Travel as needed for meetings and reviews.
