Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to advance AI governance across the enterprise. This remote role focuses on governance practices, AI policies, and integrating controls with business processes to close compliance gaps.

You will inventory models, assess risk by complexity and impact, monitor performance, support validation, and participate in governance reviews and audits. Strong collaboration with risk, audit, and IT teams is essential, as is the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit; information management can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Ability to independently author and communicate technical and business information related to AI Model governance.
• Experience deploying AI Model governance and risk programs across a large enterprise.
• AI Model Governance policy, standard, controls establishment, enforcement, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Promote effective governance practices and assist in adopting AI policies and standards.
• Establish and maintain an inventory of AI/ML/GenAI models with ownership and risk ratings.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing activities and communicate recommendations.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities including audits and reviews.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance and risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams and auditors to maintain governance documentation.
