Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to strengthen AI governance across the enterprise. This remote role supports governance policies, risk assessment, and collaboration with risk and audit teams to improve model risk controls.

You will develop reporting, monitor KRIs, and help ensure compliance with evolving regulatory expectations while working with internal teams and external partners to close gaps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in model risk management, governance, or audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring, auditing principles, and AI governance standards.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear business concepts.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of AI governance policies and practices.
• Establish and maintain an inventory of AI/ML/GenAI models with ownership and metadata.
• Assess risks based on complexity, requirements, and usage; identify emerging risks.
• Develop and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor model performance and adherence to policies; call out issues.
• Support model validation by defining scope, documenting results, and giving recommendations.
• Participate in AI governance oversight, audits, and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance, risk, and controls.
• Collaborate with risk, auditors, and suppliers to maintain governance docs.
• Monitor regulatory expectations and incorporate into governance practices.
• Seek opportunities to automate and streamline governance processes.
